Not sure what to do with myself!!

Well im not usually the nervy type BUT today im bloody terrible i cant stop talking inane waffle and panicking about thing i may have forgotten to organise or things im gonna forget t do!!
its madness as i see it were at the point that if somethings not sorted its not going to be so we'll have to live without it!!!
so only 26.5 hrs to go and i cant wait really!

took the bride to be out for a romantic meal last night and had some US time as we have hardly seen each other in the last week or two but it resulted in fine wine even finer food and a taxi instead of the usual healthy walk-but hey you only get married once !!

still at work other half is off and running round like a headless chicken so i think ill stay here til its calmed a little!

if i dont check in tomorrow ill be back around on the 15/11/06 after the honeymoon

florida/jamaica here we come!!!!!!!

you lot be good and im gonna be naughty!!

My Fat Photo!!!!


Thought id post this prior to posting any photos from the big day this is the photo that has driven my weight loss from word go at the time i was tipping the scales at 17st2lbs!!!
I weighed in this morning at 11st5lbs and i couldnt feel better!
No training yesterday just some bits for the wedding cheated a little had some delicious cookies yum yum
only 55.5 hrs to go!!!!

To weigh or not to weigh????

That is the question???
Well i promised myself i would weigh in today just keep myself on track but every corner i turn people are tryiny to feed me!!
work are treating the build up to my wedding like the last week of term!! do-nuts yesterday choccies today
the bride to bes parents took us out for a meal last night and basically i feel fat as butter and think itll be a real kick in the ribs if i weigh in ... but ill see how i feel after work and after a rest may feel totally different

managed a 6 mile run home from work last night at what i hope to be aprils marathon pace of +/-9 min miles-which felt fairly comfortable but legs were heavy/landing heavy again im begining to wonder if it may be my shoes that are the problem but will have to persevere a little longer as there are no funds available for little extras like that at the mo!

96 and a 1/4 hrs to go!!!!!!

another short report

well missed sundays club recce
went and tried on wedding suit all is in order
3 mile no watch run
half an hr cross training
ate reasonably well
apart from yorkie ice cream
full weekend on wedding things all sorted

Back to normality today eating well and plan to run home after work at marathon pace
club run tomorrow and weigh in!!

120 hrs to go!!

quick update

thursday pm ran with club did 8.4 miles in 1.09.04 which was mentally fastas my legs were still tender after sundays pb
friday was a blur worked hard all day shopped in the evening and fell asleep shattered!!
today has been wedding wedding wedding its been non stop just finished making and filing favor boxes and off for some tea now
no run today been too busy
going on club run in morning there recceing the route for the 10 mile race they put on in a couple of weeks which ill miss as im on honeymoon!!

9 days in fact only 194 and a half hrs!!

some one at work said to me yesterday "oooh in to sungle figures tomorrow!!"
well the same person walked in to my office this am saying only 198 hrs to go
and that really brought it home !!
cant believe im getting married in less than 10 days!

but thats all well and good but back to the grind!!

Wednesday

Well wednesday has been a challenge ive been hungery from the off today ate a good brekkiie and a decent lunch but succumed to a crunchie this afternoon feel i little guilty but i know it wont kill me gotta keep it real!
i think the build up to the big day is getting to me and the other half neither of us are sleeping well and were both dog tired just want the day to be here and enjoy it instead of thinking about the organisation of it all!!!

feel a little goosed so i wont run tonight just a little cross training 30 min or so to try and fend of the crunchie!!

5 miles on heavy legs

Ran a steay 5 miles tonight and ran at what i would like my marathon pace to be 9m/m
And even though i enjoyed it my legs felt very very heavy i think i should maybe have had another rest day but al the same i ran and i feel better for it

Also weighed in tonight at ww and result! 11st6.5lb so 1.5lb lost and lowest since i joined total of 5st9.5lb lost altogether!! so im feelin quite full of it tonight

off to have a snooze now feeling quite jaded

Evening update

well the early morning high that came with the official result was short lived ended up with killer headache and in bed by 11 am not good
think i may have done too much refueling yesterday and not enough rehydrating what a dumbass i know better than that!
feeling slightly better tonight had a shave and a haircut a nice bath and did 30 mins cross training so i do feel human again but still slight headache going on

weigh in tomorrow and a 6 mile run if i can fit it in some where!

early morning update

Just checked official results and it is definately a pb and sub 50!!!!!!!
49.49 is the time ive set myself to beat in the future!
ill finish this post later on just doing this whilst it is fresh in my mind (like ill forget!!!)

crackin route and a PB!!!

well today i excelled myself i did the richmond castle 10k and i completed it in 49.50 which at the mo is unofficial but it will be close to that
the day was tops richmond is a lovely place and the course was fantastic such good views it wasnt til i got to half way that i even really checked my pace i hit half way in 25.15 and in there were two massive hills so not bad and a pb was on if the second half was flat! wel i spoke too soon from 5k to 8k i gained time and felt real good at about 8 and a half there was the steepest hill i could have imagined and i lost hope a little but what goes up must come down and by 9k id gained some time back the last all important kilometer was all uphill but id got the pb in sight and ran like a man posessed got to within 50 mtrs of the line spotted the clock...49.38 so sprint finish it was to get the sub 50 but get it i did and pleased i am !!

Still Bruised

Well my knee is still bruised and i have no idea why ?? it is not painful it is not bothering me but it has bruised round the scars since thursdays club run i can only think that ive unsettled it on some fairly steep downhill sections on the route

so ive rested today and iced it as a precaution more than anything

on the food front i have still struggled i managed ok brekkie and lunch then went to a friends daughters birthday party she is only 1 so i didnt see the danger but in hindsight i should have realised that this party was for the adults so buffet food it was and a little wine !!!!
i ate a smaler dinner to try compensate a little but dont want to leave myself short for the race in the morning so gonna have some flapjack with a cuppa before bed.

Richmond castle 10k tomorrow morning i was kind of planning a pb atempt but with the knee situation im not that hopeful also ive heard a few things about the route which suggest a pb is probably unlikely so ill check in tomorrow after the race and let you know how it goes
GOING TO RESET DIET HEAD AFTER RACE TOMORROW - I WILL,I CAN AND IM GOING TO GET TO GOAL!!!!!!!

That Friday Feeling

well thursday came a day late for me this week usually thursdays are hard and i struggle to keep to points etc but managed ok yesterday BUT today hit me real hard i was very tired right from the off last nights club run really took it out of me and i slept like a log but felt so tired and rough when i woke up - got through moast of the day and then it happened i felt real tired and low and someone had brought do-nuts to work so i decided one wouldnt harm but i can never stop at one ended up troughing THREE!! but i didnt stop there i was so out of sorts for been out of control that i ended up buying chocolate whilst food shopping and eating it mindlessly in the car on the way home
FEEL REAL SHIT ABOUT IT AND ABOUT ME
BUT ITS ALL MY FAULT WHERES MY SELF CONTROL

on a good note i had a cracking club run 6.95 miles in 58 mins felt ok but did struggle to keep up with front guys
strangely enough though i have no pain in my knee after such a hard run but lots of bruising around the scars???!!!!

anyway off to beat myself up some more and will press the big red RESET button in the morning

wednesday wet run?!

well last night my leggys were tender after tuesdays club run so i went out for a 3 mile no watch run and plodded in the rain it was very relaxing and i quite enjoyed the rain too cleared my head of what had been a pretty shit day!
i ate well i behaved in everyway infact and the outcome I FEEL AS FAT AS BUTTER!!!

so today will be much of the same apart from the fact that itll be a club run of 6-7 miles which im looking forward to but getting there is the hardest part cos im shattered today
(16 days til wedding)
anyway shouldnt grumble

sorry no more fotos today as the seedy ones are all a little too dark to see!!
so itll have to be imagination on your parts

Club run and a couple more pics!!



Well i went to nidd valley runners again last night and i really enjoyed myself again had a real good run 7.12 miles in 61 mins - legs are sore once again but i feel like i had improved on my previous visits so i think it paying dividends
also weighed in at home last night and had lost a pound so that was very positive even after a stag do!!
speaking of stag do heres another pic or 2!! youll love the one where its all got 2 much and i had to have a sleep!!

SNGs STAG DO!!



just a taster to wet your whistle!!
im sure there will be more photos to follow these are just a tase from the early part of my stag experience!

well yesterday i was lazy and has a rest day i still felt very under the weather after saturdays exploits!! i also let myself down on the diet front as i shared some choccies with the wife to be she said it was only fair! and who am i to disagree?
so tonights weigh in will be nothing but a confirmation of what i already know im sure i will of gained but hey you only have one stag party dont you!! i did consider avoiding the weigh in but i think i need to see the numbers just so they remind me what damage all that lovely beer and fodder does to you!!
so on a more positive train of thought i will get back on track and will not be distracted in the last few weeks (2 n a half) leading up to the wedding ive kept points under control today and will to go to club run tonight so thats day one and not too bad

ill let you know about the weigh in but maybe tomorrow cos no doubt ill be sulking!!

busy/poorly few days!!

since the last post ive been hellish busy
went to club on thursday night had a cracking run was still just managing to stay with the quick group they threw in some real quick miles (sub 8) which took there toll in the last mile so even though i stayed with them the last mile was v hard!!
Friday was a blur really busy at work never stopped friday evening was similar trying to sort everybody out for our respective hen/stag do's on saturday (friday was a rest day due to very sore legs after thursdays club run) so friday came and went
saturday decided on an 8 mile lsr which had to be one of the hardest i have ever done the combination of tired legs and very strong wind made a reasonable run feel like the last 8 of a marathon!!
saturday afternoon/pm was my stag do! i drank far too much fell over in the bowling alley fell asleep in the pub threw what little i managed to eat of my meal back up darnk some more and suffered all day yesterday so all in all a good one!!!
back to the serious matter of training and eating well this week
im going to go to both club runs this week and do a 10k race on sunday i intend to eat very well too not that i have a choice today as my stomach is still suffering from saturdays events!!!

Thursday is still a problem

I mentioned this a couple of weeks ago
thursday are a real problem for me on the food front i could seriously eat a horse today for some bizarre reason its always a thursday !!
called at garage for petrol this am led to a small choccy bar which didnt satisfy so im sat here trying my damnedest to resist tucking into my lunch already why is it like this today ??
i never usually have a problem during the week
but enough moaning ill just have to control myself

went out for a 6 mile plod last night and it was good but my legs felt heavy well almost as if i was landing heavy??
not sure why but feel ok today so cant of been a problem

off to club again tonight so will have to prepare myself for a fast one again!

quick one

just a quick post to fill in about the weigh in last night
went to ww this week two weeks since last trip and i lost a pound so all time ww low of 11st8lb which was good as i know i had put on this week so it shows going every other week is a bonus al ways round as if id gone last week id have probaly lost more but would have gained this week !!

didnt manage a run was far too busy
trip to hotel where we are getting married with photographer was ok he reassured that all will be ok even if it RAINS!!!

ate pizza and steamed apple pudding after weigh in which was rather naughty but very nice!

bust day today important visitors at work so best foot forward and all that!

Tuesday again!

Well tuesday has come round very quick this week and weigh in it is, ill be going to ww so not looking forward to it 2 weeks since last visit and theyve been the worst two out of the last 12 so really doubting myself feel as fat as butter and convinced i must have put on but fingers crossed and we'll see!!

did a cross training session last night which was 30 mins on eliptical and 15 on bike felt good but i dont think itll have saved my ass!

will plod later tonight 3 miles ish at a gentle speed then longer run tomorrow at mara pace

good weekend running

well i had a good weekend on the running front a managed a 3 mile threshold type run on saturdayin 26.10 which was quick for me! on sunday pm i did a 7.2 mile longish run set of for first half in +/- 9 min/miles got to half way in 33.15 turned round and ran the return half in 28 mins si a good negative split and a 5k pb in there too of 24.34!!

on the food front dont ask-saturday was ok until the evening when my best man came round for dinner which of course was a www dish prepared by my lovely wife to be so food not too bad but full bottle of wine and a couple of beers later i had well and truly fallen of the wagon!!
sunday was even worse as the hangover led to a cooked breakfast!! which was followed by sunday lunch at my parents in the evening!!and you know how it is mums sunday dinner is always the best!

today is back to it eating well and some cross training later on

went to the regestry office today went through the vows etc and paid the bill! how excitin only three weeks on saturday!!
